About book The Adventures Of Ook And Gluk, Kung-Fu Cavemen From The Future. By George Beard And Harold Hutchins (2010)
Ook and Gluk are mischievous caveboys that get into loads of trouble. Due to the trouble they get themselves in, they are sent to the future. Once there, they befriend a Kung Fu Master who teaches them how to defend themselves. As years pass on by, they become full grown cavemen. Having that said, they go back to save their Caveland, Ohio from the evil villain. Are they successful? Read to find out!Intended Grade Level: 1st-3rd After you get past the misspelled words, this book is a lot of fun. The book is about Ook Schadowski and Gluk Jones, who lived in Caveland, Ohio in 500,001 B.C. They run afoul of Big Chief Goppersnopper and his crew of thugs. Things get weird when a time machine transports the duo to the year 2222 A.D. With the help of Master Wong, they learn King-Fu, and eventually make it back to their own time and save their people from a life of slavery. The illustrations are hilarious. In one sequence, the thugs try to shoot our heroes and wind up zapping signs in half to really alter the messages (see pages 63-65) The Flip-O-Rama pages add to the fun. The Cavemonics at the end of the book (to teach us how to speak caveman) is a great addition (ex. English: "My Grandmother doesn't think this book belongs in the school library" is "Grandma no fun" in Cavemonics) The back of the book gives us websites to continue the adventures of Ook and Gluk with a film about how the book was made.Recommend this to readers, second grade and up, who like easy graphic novels.

Pretty neato book. I've always loved the Dav Pilkey books, and this one is no exception.
