This book was good. It's a nice mix of light reading and intriguing reading. As the first book in the series it introduced us to the world where the paranormal is fully out of the proverbial closest, yet facing major personal and legislative problems. The author really drew me into her world and made me want to keep reading to find out what would happen next. The biggest compliment I can give to an author is to go ahead and request the rest of the series from the library at once so I can keep myself immersed in the tangled web they weave. This book is at fault for making me very grumpy, because I stayed up way late reading it. I became very enthralled with Steph's life. I wanted to know what was going to happen to her and little Beverly.Persephone gets herself into a world of trouble trying to keep a secret. Vivian takes complete advantage of the situation and does her darnest to drag Steph down with her. Thank goodness, Steph has her family and were-friends to help her. When one gets hurt, Persephone has to look inside herself to figure out what to do next. I loved how down to earth Persephone was and how she took responsibility for her actions.I really liked Johnny, he was funny, hunky and loyal. The plot has a lot of unexpected twists and turns, which made it very hard to put down. Add in that Steph is a very personable and I found myself interested in her outcome. I wanted her to win, and for everything to be ok. I actually felt bad when things went from bad to worst and she had to do things that compromised her beliefs. All in all this is an awesome book, emotions are high and it's magic packed. How I got it: Received a copy from Publisher
Do You like book Teufelskreise (2011)?
