I have read tons of books over the last 4 years, most of them in English since I do not enjoy reading Hebrew anymore.I use Goodreads on a daily base and I have to say I enjoy all kind of genres (Romance, YA, Vampire/fey/ daemons and more – do not like BDSM)I must say that this one left me speechless and without a doubt I can say it is one of a very few books I can say were the best books I have ever read!!!!Even though it is a rough story, the characters and their relationship gave me such a worm feeling from the second I have met them.I couldn’t put it down and I couldn’t stop thinking about him for days after I have already finished it.For all of my friends who are always looking for more recommendations- make this one your next!!! I promise you will not regret it. If I were a teenager, I would give this four stars. There's a lot in this novel that accurately reflects the high school years--especially high school emotion, even if it feels a bit exaggerated when you're removed from high school. Much of the emotion in this novel is far more related to dealing with trauma and loss, so perhaps categorizing it as "high school emotion" cheapens it. Some of the plot frustrates me because it seems too far-fetched and unrealistic, but the characters are incredibly endearing, if frustrating, which is what many of us were in high school, anyway--endearing and frustrating. I read this novel in about a day and a half, which is no small feat for me. I'm still not sure if I would recommend this book to others, but I certainly won't stand in your way.
