About book Tempting Tatum (2000)

This was really sweet. And super sappy. At times corny. Even a tad bit boring because most of the novel consists of Blaise proclaiming how much he loves Tatum or how she has changed him and Tatum slowly coming around and healing her emotional scars. I'm not saying it wasn't good, I just thought Blaise was a little overly dramatic about how in love he is, and I personally saw no major development of characters. Or maybe it was just that things worked out so perfectly after such a traumatizing and dramatic beginning. Tatum talked out her shit and moved past it a little but Blaise doesn't really develop in any way except to get more sappy with all of his romantic declarations/musings. I liked all of the characters, this just wasn't the most exciting book I have ever read. I felt like the big climax scene was kind of just put in there because that is what is supposed to happen rather than it being an inevitable event in the flow of the story. Well, I guess it was kind of inevitable that something similar would happen, I just felt it was a bit too well orchestrated is all. Still, it is a sweet, quick read. To say that I loved this book would be a gross understatement. I just finished it, and I want to read it all over again. The only thing I didn't like about this book was that it had to end. Ryan has an undeniable way of pulling the reader into the story. I felt like I knew Tatum and Blaise and was a part of their family by the end. This is my first book by Ryan but it will not be the last. For more reviews, go to my blog bbsbookreviews.com
