I really thought I would like this book because I loved her game series, but I just could not get past the first eight chapters...Paige was a doormat who seemed like a 16 year old rather than an adult. She was wishy washy and frankly I was bored by the eighth chapter. Being an author I must say I am very sorry that I can't review this book in a nicer manor. I want to say the rest of your books are excellent this one was just not my cup of tea. Keep writing excellent stories. I will be looking for more books by you in other series just not this one. I was eager to read this story because of the prequel. But the book was slow and dragged on unnecessarily. "Be with me?" "We can't!" "But I can't resist! " "But I must!" It left me feeling like, Jesus, just BE TOGETHER ALREADY! The child was a bit precocious but not so often that it irked me. I was most perturbed at Paige's weak persona. The only time she exhibited strength was when she was pushing Matteo away - which is cowardly in itself.
The narration was more of telling not showing. The love scenes could be steamier.
