About book Temper For You (2014)

I guess I'm in the minority here and I hate that I didn't really like this book because I loved the other two but I can't bring myself to get past some of the cheesiest dialogue and storyline I have read in well - ever. The book started good, but then around 40% when Meg's secret is revealed it just snowballed into a WTF moment that sadly lasted the rest of the book.Who were these characters? Cause the Meg and Wes from the beginning of the book were nowhere near who they became later. I will admit that my boys Hunter and Griffin were relatively pussywhipped - no doubt. But it never changed who they were fundamentally. They were still dirty, back talkers who challenged their girls. Wes, who despite being more than a bit of an asshole, was uber hot and smooth from the first time we meet him becomes a sniveling little girl by the end of the book. Meg, who shows some spunk and backbone in the beginning of our book becomes a total basket case. I hated the entire storyline regarding her secret, apart from the fact that her explanation took for-e-ver to get out (seriously I skimmed most of it). It was just weirdly shoved into the main plot. In all honesty once I got to the about 40% mark I started hardcore skimming and I didn't really miss anything essential to the plot. It's not good when a good 60% of your book is superfluous. Also, gotta say, the end...cheesy. Her chosen name...beyond cheesy.I'm willing to give Ms. Rulon another chance, especially if her next book is about hottie tattoo artist Ry. Yes, please. *Reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock*"Life is messy. Love is messier."This is the third book in the series and one you do not want to miss out on its a must you read the others to get the full effect of the wonderful journey that is Meg and Wes.Meg Adeio has led a hard life full of trials and tribulations, until one act of heroism which forces Meg out of her secluded life, she is adopted by eccentric group of friends, but even then her past is clouded in secrets Why should they her friends no about it? Meg feels she is not good enough for her friends and her past would destroy not only her but them as well. She also cannot forget about the man Wes who made her heart skip a beat and want to forget all the hurt she has endured. You will become enthralled from the get go by the way Genna writes. you will be hooked by the angst and suspense of the book had me on the edge of my seat wondering and willing the characters on, Normally, I would fall in love with the main character of the story when I read a book. However, instead I found myself falling in love with her friends. I loved the support they gave her and the way nothing would stop them helping Meg. Whether it was a roof over her head, food on the table or some other form of help, nothing would stop them. After all she is their friend and they wanted to show that wherever way they could. Finally !!!!! loved it when Wes and Meg finally got together, it was long overdue and well worth the wait. The anticipation, the sauciness and the added steam all made me want to melt between the pages and claim Wes as Mine. I adored the quotes throughout each chapter and found them very profound. Below are the two that I chose as my personal favourites “There’s something magnetic about you Meg. I’ve felt your pull since the first time I saw you, and I haven’t been able to escape it. I may not be your- or anyone’s forever guy, but for right now I’m yours.” “Sometimes being a friend means mastering the art of timing. There is a time for silence. A time to let go and allow people to hurl themselves into their own destiny. And a time to prepare to pick up the pieces when it's all over." -Octavia Butler” Without giving anything away i found the ending a tad hard to read even cringe worthy to say the least i found myself muttering poor Meg poor Meg, i do so wish that the ending was longer or even had a nice epilogue to tie in the odd loose ending and to appease us readers that everything was now well and hunky dory, Do not miss out on this Fantabulous book i urge you do not, this book is aimed at Adult readers 18 + and rightly so with all the steaminess that goes on this book.4 out of 5 Fangs
