This is a pretty short story about a "bad boy" named Austin, who sleeps with a girl then gets sick of them and moves on to the next. His reason for this is because of how his dad treats women and because a girlfriend in high school that breaks his heart. Then he meets Jane who doesn't just fall at his feet and makes him work for a date with her. Austin likes a challenge and so begins the story.Here is why I feel the book is only 3 stars and this does have some spoilers in it. 1-the book is pretty short and didn't take long to read. 2. Jane first meets Austin while he is having sex with another girl in a womens locker room showers and does want him because he is a bad boy. Who wants to go out with a guy who JUST zipped up his pants from being with another girl while he is asking you out on a date?!?!? 3. After Austin meets Jane and asked her out on a date he goes back to his house and sleeps with the shower girl again and then tells her to it's over with them so he can go after Jane. So even though Jane stuck in his head it wasn't enough to make him stop sleeping with one of his toys. 4. These two are college seniors and NEVER once in the book does he use or talk about condoms. He is known as the campus heart breaker sleeping with a new girl each weekend but she doesn't ask about protection and he doesn't either, yuck! This is a complete book and ends with a HEA and is written from both Austin and Jane's POV. Ok, I'm in love - again. I couldn't help it, really I couldn't. I tried and tried to resist him but it just wasn't happening. Austin Sinclair stole my heart, just like Travis Maddox, Jason Bradford, Christian Grey, Gideon Cross and more, many more - it is possible to love that many people at once? Cos I really don't want to ditch any of my boys. I loved this story. Austin's insecurities and his fear of getting hurt or hurting someone (Janie) almost had me reaching for the Kleenex. His reaction to Jane's playfulness with Ryan had me grinning like an idiot, inner me was screaming "Boo-yah! Taste that medicine boy! Doesn't taste good, does it? Tastes like shit, don't it?" (I know, there's just something not right with me, hehe.) However, seconds later I was like "awwww". I was really happy to see him stand up to his father the way he did, he took Janie's advice and MADE him listen. You Go Boy! Ok, enough of my maniac ramblings, it was an awesome story, so glad I read it and would totally recommend it!
