I don't rate books 5 stars often or easily. They have to connect with me, make me feel like a part of the story and really give me the feels. I LOVED Tattoo Thief. Beryl is fantastic. I'd like to be her friend as much as I'd like to have a real-life Gavin. I thought Beryl's motivations were rock solid and completely transported the story into believable territory and made me root for her and Gavin like nothing else. She is hard working, tenacious, and a strong female character to emulate. I loved her desire to fly, to break out of her comfort zone and find *more* for herself. And Gavin. Sweet, reckless, emotionally damaged Gavin. He's a rock star with a broken spirit, on a mission to reclaim himself after a devastating loss. Beryl is his equal and opposite, his anchor, and helps bring him home and heal his soul. They are really good together, like really, and I'm not even jealous, because they deserve each other.I just loved this story, and can't wait to dive into Tyler and Stella's next! Thank you Heidi for giving us another amazing story! I just finished this book and Loved it! I admit I read #3 before this although they can be standalones. I only wish I had read them in order...but that's nothing against the book. I liked the book plot and character development. I also have job envy of Beryl! That seems so awesome to stay in rich peoples home and the clothes a bonus! But back to the story I appreciated how they characters got to know each other and that she didn't totally fixate on Gavin as she went out and met other people (I have a new book boyfriend of Anthony btw). I would not have been as forgiving to Stella for both wrong doings though but that's just me. And this may sound odd and all but I appreciated the good relationship she developed with Charles. That's just a good employee/friend to have around. My only complaint is it ended too soon. I wanted more or an epilogue or maybe there will be some new novella down the road that will be done. Don't get me wrong, it ended perfectly fine and was a good ending I just wasn't ready to let the story go but Heidi did a great job and sucked me into the story very fast!
