This started out with enough back story to catch me! It was interesting to see the mindset of the character and how it helped him in his 'sacrifice' to save his village. It didn't read as rape so much as coercion. I enjoyed this story. The only thing I didn't like is that it was really short. Right when you get into it and want to see what happens next, it ends! I believe this story could go a lot further than it had. But all together it was a good, hot read! Well... this isn't read as a true rape story with all the torture and pain involved (for that, sign me up for the No Way section!)This is more.. forced coercion. He sacrifices himself to hopefully save his village/family but deep down he actually wants man on man, even if not quite like this. A little bit of bdsm is in, with makeshift collar and forced to knees. Plus.. considering this is a SHORT STORY.. I was actually impressed. I thought, ok a quick into to world and on to total sex. The first 10 or so pages are backstory and with the length of this the author reeled me in on wanting to see how Edric's story turns out.
