I actually like this one. This woman who went through hell and decided to become a Daughter of Aset and at the same time fought her attraction to a soul reaper (the mortal - or rather immortal - enemy of Aset). They got caught in the mystery surrounding the soul reaper's brother's death. Soul reapers are almost impossible to kill, if at all. The book definitely kept me hooked the whole way and it's not easy for me to find a book that I can pretty much complete in one sitting. I love the concept of Underworld and Topworld. As I complete the book, I know that I will have to read the next book in the series. While the book is about Roxy and Dagan's attraction to each other, they also show that they support each other throughout the book, whether it is willing or not. It also consist of the mystery regarding Dagan's brother and at the end, it is obvious that it is not solved even though some pieces have been fitted into the puzzle to make sense of the mystery. Dagan has 2 living brothers, so obviously the next one will be about one of them - which one, I don't know yet! I'm curious about the female character - will she be from Aset or will she come from a different sort like fire genie? Mmm! Un desiderio che lui ricambia, e che minaccia di consumarli entrambi.Primo volume della saga Otherkin. In questo romanzo troviamo una ripartizione dell’Ade singolare. Ogni territorio è gestito da un dio diverso,fra tutti il più importante è Seth. Questi a quattro figli di cui Dagan è il primo a entrare in scena. E’ un mietitore di anime,potente bellissimo,fiero e con il singolare vizio di succhiare lecca lecca. Uno degli altri fratelli muore(Lokan) e comincia la ricerca del suo corpo per riportarlo in vita. Roxy Tam è la ragazza che cambierà il destino di Dagan. Anni prima lui la salva da una brutale aggressione e le garantisce un futuro,ma non abbandona mai i suoi sogni. Diventandone l’oscuro e passionale padrone. Lei è una figlia di Aset e per questo sua nemica,vuole impedire la riesumazione di Lokan. Ma contro l’amore non c’è difesa. I personaggi sono ben caratterizzati sia fisicamente che dal punto di vista psicologico. Coinvolgente dalla prima all’ultima pagina. Le scene d’azione non mancano anche perché Roxy è una gran combattente e darà del filo da torcere al suo Dagan ,in difficoltà perché non ha mai provato simili sentimenti. La trama è intrigante,scrittura fresca e piacevole,di facile comprensione. Buona rivisitazione mitologica di dei che conosciamo poco. Il finale ovviamente felice lascia aperto un varco per il romanzo successivo.
