I really enjoyed this book! Paranormal isn't my favourite genre and I have read many that I didn't like. This wasn't the case with this book.I listened to the audio, which has an excellent reader who did all of the accents and I think that added to my enjoyment.The pacing of the story was great, with lots of questions and intrigue but I love how the author explained so much of the world and the back story while still maintaining my interest in what would happen next.I feel the story stumbled for a few chapters 3/4 of the way through and got a little bit lost, floundering in an eddy of time zooms and lack of story progression for a bit which shocked me, as the rest of the book was so well written and paced. But the ending was action packed and left me wanting for more.I will be sure to pick up book two soon!! This is my type of books; Fantasy, romance and demons. I was very glad to find this one. It was well written, though there was a lot of things about sex. It does go with the story, but sometimes I felt like it was too much for a teen fiction book, considering the story could appeal to a younger audience. I did like the concept of the book and it was, in a way, hard to tell what would happen next. I simply couldn't put it down! However, I did think that Anna was too innocent for her own good. She was just too much.. It made her come off as a little stupid, which isn't one of my favorite attributes for characters.
