I'm not a fan of this relationship but the book kicks off really well in showing the two balancing their work and their new feelings (I think I'd have loved them doing the duo as a World's Finest-type team). But then they bring in Zod, who is a very over-used villain and nobody ever does anything interesting with him (he's a Kryptonian militarist who wants to kill/conquer Earth and that's the extent of his goals and personality). So it tanked. DC has changed the ground rules in regard to character interaction with the New 52. One of the changes is Superman and Wonder Woman getting together as a couple. They have all the anxiety of who to tell and what to do compounded by the Clark Kent/Superman dual identity. Then Zod and friends come visiting which brings about an explosive ending. The epilogue takes place after Wonder Woman has become War. Plenty of action and naivety on the part of Superman which makes you think that while he may be the brawniest , Bruce Wayne has him beat in regard to brains.
