Cette fois on part dans une intrigue parfois assez déjantée grâce aux interventions de Rémy, et un peu tendue aussi car l'heure est grave pour Jackie victime d'une malédiction fatale pour celles de son espèce. Et hop, une nouvelle révélation vient chambouler la donne. Argh ! Notre ménage à 3 va s'en prendre un sacré coup, déjà que c'était difficile. Zane est malheureusement peu présent, déchiré entre son ancienne allégeance, et la femme qu'il aime. Un choix s'impose. Pour moi il est le personnage phare de cette série parce que le plus complexe, et le plus interessant aussi. Il a une profondeur qui fait défaut au gentil Noah. cover picture must be out image of Zane – so I predicted from the beginning this book would be more focused on him. I didn’t find his image as hot as the one of Noah, but who cares ;)I debated about not reading any further because you knew it would be focused on the love-triangle. But I did and right from the get go Noah is jealous of Zane and vice versa.Jill, you did alot of recapping in this book and I found it very annoying. I do understand you do this for the person that randomly picks up one of your books, so she will understand without having to read the earlier books. But gheez you went on and on for pages of recap. :( I found myself skimming.Jackie is weak minded in this book. She comes off as needy and selfish.When Jackie zapped the pizza guy then finally Remy shows up to help her. Remy gives her this story of a curse and it was so OUT THERE that I kept waiting on her to crack up. I mean I could just hear Remy telling her how freaking gullible she is and pathetic. But it never happened… then it all turned out to be true. :/I did correctly predict that it was the Queen who put the curse on Zane to get at her. Then you took the gals to the graveyard and she kisses the demon. Well… a deal… really… I’m getting disgusted with how quickly Jackie jumps the gun. But I know there will be a reason to involve her before the end of the book, so I just hang on.Road trip was a chance for fun… but then Zane weirded out… just like a guy when she told him she was cursed. His mouth auto spurts out that .. Your cursed and you had sex with ME. [shakes head]I noticed she says – making love with Zane – and she has wild-monkey-sex with Noah.I wonder why Zane come back from being gone for hours that he hadn’t fed? Did he only want to feed from her and her only? So she is typical gal and is guilted into letting him bite her and they both sleep the day away.Now Zane flys off… and Luc shows up following her. So [thinking] Zane knew Luc was following her… and when he saved her from the creep at the bar who slipped her roofies then Luc takes her back to Hotel room for body rub down, that was Zane calling repeatedly on the phone.Well then… why was Noah in such a teezee when he got to the Hotel looking for her, yelling on the phone, where are you?Remy is still possessed by Joachim – more now than ever. I believe we will have to focus on fixing her maybe the next book, but eventually.I thought it funny Joachim was singsonging “Need to feed, Sex and Blood, Sex and Blood.”It does seem to me you have no one being straight with Jackie. When Zane heard her talk of the curse he should have stayed… discussed it with her. Then Noah read the business card Jackie handed him with Luc Stone on it – he should have mentioned Luc was a incubus. (or did he not know)Delilah was resourceful and I liked her character. She woke Jackie up – I believe – to be more woman and not such a weak, whiny, push-over. Sometimes Jackie’s character makes me sick – I continue to wait for her to grow balls.F I N A L L Y…Chapter 13 Jackie realizes it is time to look out for #1 and stop waiting on someone else to save her. *whew, there may be hope for her after all.*Oh… why did Noah keep repeating to Delilah… this isn’t what you think – its not what it looks like. Hmm? I mean I got the part where Noah reminds Dee of her Sire – that she was deeply in love with and he was destroyed by a gypsy warlock. So have Dee and Noah hooked up? Has he helped her with her itch?Oh yea and Zane knows Delilah also.. he said something on the answer machine that got my attention. He said “Don’t let them hurt her” he talking about Jackie. Now who is them?…them? I still don’t know what all he knew… but he did come a running and it did make my heart squeeze a bit. But I too wonder what he knows and hasn’t shared with her.Luc is the warlock incubus that placed the curse on Zane per instruction from the Queen. Zane says he didn’t know of it UNTIl she told him.Sometimes Noah just doesn’t come off as caring about her like Zane but then trust has never been an issue with Noah. As with Zane there was an ulterior motive from the first bite.Oh and when my head hit the pillow last night when book was finished… I had this thought… Zane being the Prince – is that why he calls Jackie the Princess?So Zane traded him self to the Queen to keep Jackie safe. He makes love with her one more time then tells her to stay close to Noah as he now will keep her safe. I wonder if Noah knows this … that Zane is sacrificing himself for her?Zane gave her a necklace with a huge diamond on it .. it is magic on it to help with the curse. But since she is now cured she gave to Remy. But I wondered this morning as I’m writing this.. where did he get the necklace?Ok.. for the next books we know we must deal with Remy’s possession and now Mae the demon is owed a favor from Jackie.star rating … I couldn’t make myself give this book a five as it had questions lingering out there unanswered. I’m left wondering. Oh and it was predictable and really corny from the beginning. The recapping repeatedly didn’t help either.
