I tried very hard to like this book but I just couldn't. I just could not like Eva.I disliked her intensely from the beginning and I felt that she was too immature and her jokes where just inappropriate. I couldn't take her seriously and I am not a fan of a h thinking that she knows best.I wanted to see more of the mafia aspect of this book but was disappointed, the hero was okay.Not a book I would recommend to anyone. I do not understand why this book is rated so highly. The plot, which was already non-existent, was transparent. I quickly figured out the big surprise/reveal. I also found this story completely unbelievable. Yes, I know crazy plots are part of the whole smut and romance genre, but at least give me enough believability so that I can sink into my imagination and not question the storyline every five minutes. There was also no character development whatsoever. Just unnecessary sex every two pages. I was constantly frustrated that Alexei's way of dealing with his anger was f*cking the shit out of Eva. This book was also extremely corny as hell. I literally cringed or laughed out loud at the dialogue or the author's attempt at making Alexei speak horrible English. Most definitely will not be reading any more of Ms. Taylor's work. Thank heavens this book only cost 4.99. I sorta want to email amazon and ask for my money back.
