I have read many of Stuart Woods books...and many of the characters are familiar to me...like old friends in this one because this story revolves around Stone Barrington, the ex cop who is a lawyer now and from time to time gets himself into some shady deals......I have to say while this was an easy read...I just kept waiting for a twist or something exciting to happen....and then it didn't. The ending was a disappointment to me. An action packed and entertaining book. Although this was my first Stuart Woods book, it won't be my last. Stone Barrington, reminded me of a double-OH-seven that passed the bar. A barrister secret agent. Stone's contacts and ability to constantly out smart the so-called "intelligence community" were humorous to me. Either he was extra smart, or the international "intell community" is as dull as I've always expected. A book I do highly recommend.
Always love Stuart Woods…not intellectual, just fun reading.
