This book was so intense for me to read, that the thought of re-reading it wouldn't let me go for months. So I finally caved and did just that and while it's certainly different reading something for the secon time, it was still an amazingly good read and I love it despite any imperfections it may have.I think the series as a whole is really well done and Straight Shooter is a very nice endingt to it. Even though it still sadens me a bit that there's not going to be more. I'm just glad I picked up these books in the first place instead off passing them up, it was so worth it. This knocked my socks off.I felt seriously sorry for Austin throughout much of it, because he was just so confused, especially because he actually was straight. Mostly anyway.The "mostly" mixed up with what I could see as being a significantly inconvenient kink was understandably driving him nuts. Particularly since he's so skillfully written as the kind of guy who is usually not very complicated.Liam is nicely rounded too, especially since a)he's a much more complicated guy and b)we're in Austin's confused, turned-on, and slightly homophobic head for the entire novel.I really love that we not only see Austin find his person, but grow as a man as well.Even the minor characters, like Warren, are nicely sketched in.
Do You like book Straight Shooter (2014)?
I'm usually a big fan of Heidi's books but this one just didn't do it for me. It was just okay.
