Read the first book And thought it was ok. This second book was so far fetched it was unreal, I am a Brit and the references to the aristocracy were stupid. I thought gabriel and Elizabeth had smoothed out their differences but apparently not. The one year one month marriage reared it's ugly head again, even after they appeared to become a couple.Did not like this book at all, I read it because of reviews on amazon, I am getting sick of looking at all the four and five star reviews of books to find out they are awful. I feel like I waste my money so many times on second rate books. I loved this book as much as the first. Elizabeth is alone and pregnant. Then suddenly Gabriel walks back into her life after a few months with a proposition for her. Gabriel can't remember everything after the accident but he wants his baby and he comes to want Elizabeth all over again. But Elizabeth thinks the child is all he wants. She's hiding a secret to protect him, and he wants to protect her and his baby but with a lot of deceit, lies, heartache, can they both survive what lies ahead ? I enjoyed this book and it's killing me wait for the next one.
