About book Stolen Breaths (2000)

This book really make you believe in that unconditional, emotional and selfless love that we all want to have at least once in our lives. How the book starts is quite sad, with Lily dealing with the death of the last piece of her family, but then she meets the person that will help her heal all the past scars that she has. Cooper is sooo lovely, patient and how he cares about her, damn I felt that my life really needs some of that.Cooper is all swoons..............A man singing to me...............The story is really good, how both of them trust in each other and when all the things that happend to them years ago are revealed is so amazing to see Lily overcome her past to be an even better person and Cooper leaving that heavy weight off his shoulders.I know rating is difficult but if a story makes me cry, laugh, dream, make me keep searching for love and has a "happy" ending for me is a 5 starts!!!I'm a closet romatic and if you are a little bit romantic you will love this book :) I’m a strange breed when it comes to reading. I can’t entirely say beyond a shadow of a doubt that I have a preference. I will devour anything because you never know where you’re going to find the diamond in a sea full of other gems. Stolen Breaths right from the very first page set itself apart from every other novel I’ve had the pleasure of reading since I mastered the art of it at four years old. Not only did it stand out, but it brought to the surface something that over the last 15 years or so I’d forgotten about.I am a sucker for a sweet clean romance. The one that is so magical, you feel as though you’re experiencing a real life fairy tale as you read. The idea of love, it inspires me, it moves me and it’s a very large part of my day to day existence, as a writer, a mother and a human being overall. This story for me is what all romances should aspire to be.It was at times heart wrenching, troubling, sad, over the moon happy, blissful even, but more than all of those words, it was real. The experiences that these characters face could have easily happened to you or me, or your next door neighbour, that’s how real they came across as I eagerly scanned through every page, soaking up the words on the pages. This is the way I see romance in my head. I’m a fan of all genres of romance, but there was something about this book, the fact that there was intimacy without the focus being shined on the actual art of lovemaking itself that endeared itself even more to me. As I said above, I truly believe this is what all romances should aspire to be. I know for damn sure it’s how I imagine romance to be. Take a chance on this book, on this author. I promise you… you will not be disappointed. I have been forever changed by the story woven in these pages and I will carry this story with me for years to come.
