I like reading (auto-)biographies. If they are well written. I don't even mak any distinction, I read them as long as they sound interesting on the book cover. But I also abandon them in a second if the writing is dull and I'm bored. In recent times, I had to deal with a handful such books. Mainly, but not exclusively footballers' biographies. Dull, boring, unimaginative. In short: A book not to be lightly thrown away. But I did not hesitate picking this bio on Dennis Bergkamp, arguably one of the best footballers of his time and especially Arsenal. Because as a Gunners and Bergkamp fan I had to give it a try. ;)And I was not disappointed. Not only did it give me some insight into football tactics, systems, players' attitudes and Dennis Bergkamp in particular, it was also well written. Yes, not on the Ian McEwan writing style quality. But well enough to be quite enjoyable and interesting. If you're on the lookout for some biography which is interestingly written, regardless of the 'object', look no further. كتاب سيرة حياة اللاعب الهولندي (دينس بيركامب) ولاعب نادي الآرسنال الانجليزي، سبب اهتمامي بهذا الكتاب هو عبقرية وذكاء (بيركامب) فالمتتبع لكرة القدم والمهتم بالفكر الكروي سواء من التخطيط واللعب الذكي يعلم ان بيركامب كان احد عباقرة الكرة ، لم يمتلك سرعة رونالدو ولا مهارة ميسي في تجاوز الخصوم لكنه كان ذكي جداً يعرف كيف ومتى يمرر الكرة ومتى يسدد ومتى يراوغ، هذا بالاضافة الى فكره الفلسفي الكروي فالقارء للكتاب سيجد الكثير من المناقشات الفلسفية الكروية عن أساليب تفكير المدربين مثل أسطورة الكرة الهولندي (كرويف) او المدرب المبدع الحالي ( فان غال) وايضاً الكثير عن حياته المهنية والخاصة..
