There wasn't anything particularly wrong with this book, but I just never got into it. The characters were all the same as they always were, and the story while different was along the same lines of the other books in the series. Perhaps that was the problem, everything was almost the same as the other books in the series. Perhaps it was the logic that the character uses to justify some actions. For whatever reason I just never got into this book. Like I said, it wasn't particularly bad, but it didn't keep me interested either. The elements of other gifted folks in this book really added to it. Joanne has a lot of interaction with people, which strengthens this book over some of the others. Don't understand the rebirth thing. How many books is it going to take Joanne to understand it? Awesome final scene, which deliberately leaves you wanting to read the next book, but it's so blatantly undisguised as a fish hook that you're willing to bite anyway.
