When I read the blurb on this one, I was intrigued by small Kentucky farm setting where a well-known and successful race car driver meets young ballerina plot. It didn't take long to realize that this wasn't going to be the thrill ride I had hoped for. In truth, it was an underdeveloped and just so-so story. Lots of angst and trouble in the life of a young girl barely out of high school. The drama was a bit over-the-top and the lead characters didn't have much depth or dimension to either their personalities or relationship. There was potential but found it lacking. Really, really, really liked this book! Loved Cole and Mara's story! I'm sad that there's only one book!!! Wish that the love scenes were described and not non-existant. I didn't like the glossing over where they should have been. Almost left a feeling of pulling away from the story instead of feeling intimate with the characters. Other than that, loved it.Favorite moments and/or quotes from the story:"Holding you just then," he murmured, "made tonight completely worth it."Cole shrugged a shoulder.
