Oy! Awwww man I seriously wanted to just fall in love with Southern Fried Sushi, as its been hanging around the Kindle just begging to be read. Way too "Christian" for my liking. I'd be lieing to God and y'all if I said I never rolled my eyes. Ouch I think my eyeballs hurt so bad from what started out to be hohum took a nosedive in the ocean. The choppyness and unlikeable characters made me throw it on text to speech, sort of painful word flow, editing, and unnecessary details. Y'all may pick up the same book, agreeing or disagreeing, you decide. To each their own! It took a couple chapters to convince me I liked this book, but the characters eventually won my heart. Totally predictable, but still fun and refreshing. You find yourself rooting for the main character, hoping she gets her act together. You wish to be lucky enough to find friends like that. I was a bit appalled at the racist, ignorant, stereotypical southern characters, though. The missed connection between mother and daughter is almost heartbreaking at times. Leaves you wanting to hear more from these folks' lives.

This is a crazy title but a wonderful book filled with scripture and content.
