I love Julie James. This is a new to me author, but definitely one I will keep reading. This is the second of her novels I've read this week, and I think I might even grab the next book in this series and keep going. One of the things I find she does well is the hate to love story. Some authors try to pull off characters that don't get along at first, but fail miserably. Julie James does it to perfection. The banter is witty and fun. There is a bit of a suspense, and it's even well done. There were a few things I didn't see coming. The characters are likeable, and the sexual tension is off the charts. Another thing I love is that the novel is not filled with gratuitous sex. Both books I've read have had one or two sex scenes and that's it. Like I said, the sexual tension and chemistry is great(which is what I love most), but the sex isn't over done. This is a great read for someone who wants fun, witty, and light. Introduction was hilarious considering that the female lead was disturbed by a couple next door doing some acts at the hotel she's staying. With a turn of event, it became a crime scene instead. That's when Agent Pallas came into the picture. The character development was good; love the friendship of Collin, Amy & Cameron and how as friends showed their hostility towards Jack too. Friendship as such creates a punch in the story line. The interactions between the 2 leads was simply a thing to love. You just grow with them as the story progresses.Overall, it's a 4 star for me (:
