Haven't received my copy yet, just received notice I had won. 10/23/13Received and hope to start soon. I have 7 plus my current read in front. 11/12/13Started around 12/20/13 and finished around the same time. I was sick and got behind on posting my reviews. Tom Nash is living a quite life in France. Until one night someone breaks into his home to kill him. Tom was able to fight off the attacker. Now Tom knows someone is aware of his past life as a spy, and this isn't going to be the only attempt on his life. Will he be able to figure out which of his friend betrayed him, who is wanting him dead, and sterilize the threat?okay, another well written story. Fun characters and beautiful settings. I still have a hard time in regards to the "hero" being a sexual magnet to the pure virginal girl that idolizes the older man. Maybe it was common during the 1930's-1940's but the romance just didn't ring true to me. I can't decide whether it's three stars, four stars, or the impossible to enter three point five stars. There's a little bit of unexpected clunkiness in the writing that I don't remember in other of Mills' books, and a trace of self-indulgence in the lead character. On the other hand, I couldn't put it down once I started, and there are scenes I truly loved. The smell and the sound and the air of the places and people are absolutely beguiling. Don't know quite how I feel about the smell of the start of a franchise....
Do You like book Sombras Passadas (2011)?
House of the Hunted is suspenseful and filled with action. Over all I enjoyed this read.

I enjoyed the story but didn't get a 'feel' for it being set in 1937.

Not a Pulitzer prize winner, but an entertaining book nonetheless.
