About book Snow Queen (2009)

*5 STARS*This is my favourite Emma Harrison book so far.I don't even know what to say about it. I loved Aubrey and Grayson the moments their eyes locked. I loved those "I proved you wrong" moments. I can feel each and everyone of the characters' emotions (except Layla of course, she has a horrible personality that cannot be justified AT ALL). I loved the setting, the characters, and the conflicts were understandable, even if they were annoying. (come on, who actually likes conflict, right?) I can understand where Aubrey is coming from, though she does become too rash at times. I am not a pageant person, even if they are fun to watch at times. Then again, Aubrey was doing it for her friend and to prove Layla wrong, which I guess I can understand. I really can't form a proper book review as of the moment. I'm still having a hangover from it. But I assure you- it shall not disappoint. First of all, I chose this book because I had read it once before, therefore I knew it would be a short and sweet read that I wouldn't have any trouble posting a review about. This book starts off with Aubrey coming going up to Vermont with her friend Christie and Christie's cousin Charlie. Aubrey is summarily obsessed with seeing snow for the first time because she is from Florida, where they do not normally have snow so she hasn't once seen it before. Before long, Aubrey finds out that Christie has signed herself along with Aubrey up to participate in the Snow Queen competition, which is basically like Miss Teen America, except with only people around the Chamberlain Ski Resort and Spa, owned by who Aubrey soon finds out are their 'enemies'.Even though this didn't happen during the school year, I found this seeming like one of those light-on-the-drama books that have a small conflict, with the queen rhymes-with-witch (that came from the book) and her hot older brother that the protagonist has a crush on.Like all short and sweet stories, it ended how you would expect it to end (but I won't completely reveal that). So, I did like this book, as a light read type thing that wasn't one of those killer, hangover/cliffhanger books that you eat away at.I gave it four point five hearts.
