I absolutely loved this book.It is about a group of women who believe they are heading to a town for prime homesteading. Many are widows but some are just plain running. What the women don't know is that they are being lied to and are being brought to a town in hopes of their accepting marriage proposals. When a small group find out they decide not to go any further and to homestead as a group. They eventually meet the men in that will be in their lives but during their trials they put their faith in God, good neighbors and each other. The book shows just how strong women in the west were and had to be and how strong their faith was. Please give this book a try. For a multitude of reasons, sixteen women board a train headed West. What they don't know is the man who has arranged their travel is also responsible for bringing them as potential brides to an area that has few, if any, marriageable women. For those who believed they were going to homestead, this is unacceptable. Some realize a different dream than they expected, and all found they were capable of doing hard things in a man's world. I really enjoyed this book.
A story of integrity and strong faith in God, with determination of purpose.

Kind of hard to keep track of the characters at first, but a good story.
