Wow this book has everything. Hot sex, mystery, alpha males and vixen women. I read this book so fast but I didn't want it to end. The characters Sophie, Derek, Jack and Maia were well developed and complex. The story is set in DC among government industries that include defense and spies. This story is a page-turner. You will not want to put it down.I can't wait to read guardians 1. This book was received from the author in exchange for an honest review. Highly recommend. Sophie is a nuclear physicist who runs Silver Fire Research Laboratory. Derek is the VP of a defense company but does odd jobs for AGS. He has avoided commitment all his life he has what Maia calls his own little harem of girls that he rotates to keep anyone from wanting anything more then just sex. Will Sophie be the one to make him want to change his ways?Who would have thought this brilliant physicist could get into so much trouble since she basically lived and breathed in her lab. Her friend Beth the reporter and Stephen are great new characters in this Guardians Series. The characters from book one have their own roles in book two and it is nice to see how the are progressing because Maia and Jack are couple of interesting characters.WOW was this book Hot! The action never stops I kept looking at the progress of the book to see if this was it for these two. I laughed a little and I was on the edge of my seat through most of the book. Very well written. This book can be read as stand alone but I think you would love book one enough to start there and Derek plays a big role in book one. All the characters are well developed even the bad guys.This is not my usual kind of book and I can not explain how happy I am that Ms Paige gave me this book to read and this is my honest review. I can not wait for the next book in this series!
