As I was reading Silksinger, I thought that it was a bit worse than the first book. But the end was very good and even though there were some deaths (unlike the first book) ((and ofc they were unneccessary in my opinion)) I did enjoy it as much as the first one. Magpie is my favorite, even though Whisper is kinda cool too, I guess. No Magpie x Talon action though... Laini, you must fix this in the next one!! I'm aware that this is probably aimed at a younger reader than I am, however, I do think it would spice things up a little. I really enjoyed this book! I give it 4.5 stars. It is just as gripping as Dreamdark: Blackbringer. Silksinger continues the story of Maggie Windwitch, introducing new characters, new situations, and the same level of excitement and adventure. It's been three weeks since Talon and Magpie have defeated the Blackbringer. They now travel to find the rest of the sleeping Djinn to wake them up. Little does she know that legends of old are still coming to life and will become allies in this quest. Whisper Silksinger is the last of her clan, sworn to protect the djinn Azazel. Hirik, another fairy, is from a disgraced clan, and must in turn protect Whisper. Our nosy selfish Batch is still around causing trouble at every turn. They must race against time to find Whisper before an untold evil catches her. This story absolutely fantastic. I enjoyed myself immensely. I really hope Mrs. Laini Taylor is able to come back to this series and finish it. This book definitely ends with a to be continued feeling. There is so much potential for something amazing.
Do You like book Silksinger (2009)?
Please Laini, make this a trilogy! I'm not ready to give up Pie, her crows and Talon.
