Possible spoilers:It kind of bothered me that all of a sudden it didn't matter to Tom about the dream mating. He made such a big deal about it in the other books and then all of a sudden it was like he didn't care about it. To me it seemed like the author was trying to make this story different from the brothers' other books but then didn't explain why he so easily gave up on dream mating. I received an e-galley of Silence of the Wolf for an honest review.I'm pretty sure I've said it before, but it bears repeating, Terry Spear can write some hella good wolves. And jaguars. And she's got a new cougar out that I'm excited to read. But I digress. Back to the wolves. Specifically Tom Silver. The last of the Silver triplets. I was so excited to read his book and was not disappointed in the least!! Tom's book proved to be just as good as I had hoped for. Seeing Tom break out his protective side, more than big-brother, was great. He's more of the quiet alpha. Not the beat his chest and roar type. Admittedly, I was surprised by the way the relationship between Tom and Elizabeth's played out. Throughout the Silver Town pack's books Tom has been the one who believed in dream mating more than the other two. This is a bit of a spoiler, and I'm sorry, but Tom didn't get a dream mating. Which was a twist I didn't expect.Instead, he and Elizabeth found each other. AND THEY ARE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER. Seriously. AWESOME. Elizabeth is another strong, alpha female wolf. She is hell bent on doing things by herself. But she knew when to ask for help as well. She ranks as one of my favorite heroines in this series to date.Once again, many of the Silver Town pack make appearances. And there are even a couple of surprise visits by other wolves we've met along the way. No, I won't spoil that. I'll just say I was oh so happy to see them show. Such a great tie in. Silence of the Wolf is another win. If you like romance and shifters, don't miss out. Even though this is number 13 it's not necessary to read the rest of the series. Although, they are all great reads.
