About book Sidney Sheldon's Chasing Tomorrow (2014)
One good thing that happened was that the book had me wanting to read the prequel once again. Also I have now downloaded the entire TV series based on it. One can feel the change in crimes now. While "if tomorrow comes" was more about con and art theft etc. this one's more about crimes or rather crimes of passion. The story has the dark edge that mystery novels of today have. There is distinctive difference in the writings of both authors. Though not a let down, it still failed to make me as happy as ITCs did. But no fault of the author coz nowadays no crime novel is complete without a murder. It IS really difficult to fill in Sydney Sheldon's shoes :) . Have already purchased another one by Tilly and hope to hv a good time. "If Tomorrow Comes" continues to be one of my all-time favorite books, just as Tracy Whitney still remains to be one of my favorite heroines of all time. That being said, when I first saw that a sequel had been written after almost 30 years, I was thrilled to the bone! Having the chance to go on another journey with Tracy and Jeff was such an exciting thought! However, I have to admit that this book was a disappointment. While the plot and story line was okay, there was just so much that was missing from this book: the tenacity, resilience and resourcefulness of Tracy; the magic and chemistry between Tracy and Jeff; the unpredictability of the plot points; and ultimately, even the pay-off in the end was lackluster and frustrating. I rated it a 3 nonetheless because it IS still Trach Whitney; and the single bright spot of the book is her son, Nicholas. This perhaps is its only redeeming value.
Do You like book Sidney Sheldon's Chasing Tomorrow (2014)?
Not as good as the others in the series. In my opinion, an unsatisfying ending.
