Yg paling aku ingat dari buku ini adalah kisah ttg sapi yg menangis. Ceritanya ttg seorang napi yg bekerja sbg penjagal ternak di sebuah penjara di perth. Semua binatang juga memiliki naluri seperti manusia. Mereka juga punya rasa takut menghadapi kematian. Pada suatu ketika, ada sapi yg akan dijagal. Anehnya sapi ini tdk memberontak seperti pada umumnya. Sapi ini memasuki ruang penjagalan dgn tenang dan dia justru menatap mata si penjagal. Dan Disudut mata sapi itu mengeluarkan air mata. Semakin lama semakin byk hingga meleleh membasahi wajahnya. Benar2 sapi itu menangis. Si penjagal yg terkenal kejam dan berdarah dingin itu terhenyak dan tersentuh hatinya melihat kejadian itu. Dan pada akhirnya si penjagal tsb menjadi seorang vegetarian. Kisah nyata yg sangat mengharukan. Dan di dalam buku ini byk sekali kisah2 yg mengharukan lainnya yg mengajarkan kebaikan dan cinta kasih pd sesama. Tdk hanya kpd sesama manusia tapi juga kpd semua makhluk hidup.
