Holy crap do I love Carrie Fisher. Full of candid anecdotes and self deprecating witticisms it's hard not to. What I initially thought was going to be an entire book about Electro-convulsive therapy, I was glad to find it was yet another walk through specific autobiographical stories from her life. My favourite chapters include her sleeping with a senator/having a dinner with one of the Kennedy's and the final chapter about her father, Eddie Fisher in which she tries to help him succeed in his dying wish of having sex one last time. As she once said "if my life wasn't funny, it would just be true". 10/10 Once again I listened to Carrie Fisher's narration in audio book format, my preference for autobiographies nowadays.I really did enjoy Shockaholic, but when I compare it to Wishful Drinking, that one was more enjoyable for myself, but just a little bit. However, this book was basically divided into sections of Carrie Fisher talking about different people in her life - her father, stepfather, Elizabeth Taylor, and Michael Jackson - I absolutely loved hearing her remember all these people. It was an enjoyable format to read, as well. I really enjoy Carrie Fisher's writing and narration, and this was a great read (or listen).
Do You like book Shockaholic (2011)?
I didn't like it as much as "Wishful Drinking" but I always find Carrie Fisher entertaining.

Very funny. Picks up where Wishful Drinking left off. I laughed out loud about 20 times.
