Short essays on various teen classics which the writers loved then and now. While I read most of these books (published 1960s-1980s primarily) as an adult, I wished many had been around when I was a young adult. I also wish I had reread them deeply to learn how they became classics. Some of my favorite books and authors are presented but where are M.E.Kerr's books? Now I need to devote some of my 2014 reading to some oldies but goodies! Love. Love. LOVE this book. It was like revisiting my youth/adolescence with a close chum. I spent so much time between the covers (of books, you perv!) as a kid that I often wondered if there were others out there who always had a book stashed in the car/backpack/purse so as to never be caught without one. Lizzie Skurnick has reaffirmed that there are other book whores out there and that we have shared experiences simply through the books we read during our formative years.
Mildly amusing book that brought back memories of many of my favorite 1970's childhood reads.

Funny, though almost all repurposed from the Jezebel.com column.
