I liked this book. The only thing that bugged me was Mary's reactions to her fiancée, Fitzwilliam's, possessiveness and insistence that she was his property. Sure, given the timing of the book, I get that it was termed that way, still annoyed me that she thought I almost cute. Sebastian was a good hero, the whole "too ugly and scarred no one will love me" thing is so addicting to read. It was well done, can't can't wait to read about the other two brothers. 3.5 StarsNot a bad read. It isn't one of my favorites of Lorraine Heath (the St. James series holds that place), but a good book anyways. I liked the characters. Sebastian and Mary had a very cute romance. I love childhood sweethearts even if they didn't realize they were in love all that time until the end. My heart went out to all the brothers and what they had to lose because of the villain. The only part I didn't like was in regards to the villain. They tried to get their revenge on him after 12 years but don't really say anything about the murder attempts on 2 of the brothers? Sebastian had marked him and if it was known, the villain would've looked guilty for what had happened 12 years prior. It would have gone a long way in convicting him, at least in society, and paving their way to their new life in it. I am curious about the other brothers so I will continue the series.
Do You like book She Tempts The Duke (2012)?
A bit unrealistic, but I enjoyed the characters so much that it didn't matter. 3.5 stars
