Jess and Emma. Rich girl and poor boy.I was rooting for them. I'm disappointed I have to read what happens in another book. I think she could have completed their story in one book.It was okay. Jess and Emma did not play games with each other. They could not deny they shared an attraction to each other, yet both knew they should not be together, but both did not care what others thought. They decided to keep their relationship hidden and a secret from the people they knew. They knew people would not approve of the rich girl and poor boy dating. Both held stereotypes that both did not fall under. Even though Emma was rich, she was not hung up on status and being a snob, besides she knew it was not her money that made her rich. Jess knew he was not a bad guy who stole or cussed or was rude just because he had tattoos and was poor. Not sure how I feel about people still treating people differently based on how much money they make. I can't relate. I never encountered this kind of problem. I neither had money nor was I poor. I'm middle class, so I can go either way.I love Emma for believing everyone is an equal human being. I give her props for trying to convince her mother that she is a snob.Did not like Ally trying to sabotage Jess and Emma's relationship. Did not like how easily Emma gave up on Jess instead of listening to him explain the situation. It just goes to show that seventeen is too young to be in love because a relationship of this magnitude holds too much responsibility. Emma and Jesse were wiser than their years. Both from growing up without an ideal situation. So I was shocked to see what transpired to lead up to the cliff hanger. I thought once they worked out that they really liked each other and wanted to give it a try, it would work out. Communication people! It all leads back to communicating with your partner. I do want to read the next installment to find out what happens with these two.
This was a DNF for me. The charterers were too young and didn't grow up until the epilogue
