My thoughts from chapter 1_4: This is one of those books that you are lucky to find and should take your slowest time reading. Why? Because there wont be another like it.my thoughts from somewhere between 4 and on: I totallt jumped the gun by putting this books on my favorites shelf. This book is the most frustrating book ever written to man. please people listen to my warning before going into this book. Its actually a good book. I sonewhat did enjoy the underling paste and story. Do I recommnd this book? Are you kidding me Heck NO!!!! The reason for my mix feelings is that although the characters are likeable, all of the music and movie quotes and comparions are cute in the beginning It becones tooooooooooooo much after awhile. Honestly after a mintue i didnt know if the autor was trying to write a story or the list of her favorite movies and music featured on her ipod. Really the characters are likable the story is good for a quick light hearted read but it was like every freakng moment was interrupted by the autor trying to throw in some lame shout out to a song. we get this major build up to the first kiss and make out session and we cant enjoy it because the autor decided to instead of telling us how the characters are feeling she wants us to interrupt it through a song. Next it also felt like the author doesn't trust readers to understand what the heck is going on in the story because she wants every scene to be explained and broken down and reexplained its exhausting. It also makes the maine charactee seem like a 4 year old girl who doesnt know why a boy wants to hold her hand or why he wants to kiss her. I get the whole oh shes innocent and doesnt have alot of experience that most authors are clingy to right now but dang it can the girl have some type of brain. In the beginning I thought she was going to be a smart strong chick. In the end I got a girl that has a big vocabulary, has to ask her friends if its okay to breathe on the guy she likes what it means if she does, oh and a long list of songs to look up on youtube (not). The wrost part is I know I'm ranting and I'M going to read the next book. why? because I do love these characters - all of the ipod music abd refrenced every paragraph. I also love the story abd for now I am going to toss all of the bad and frustrating. parts about this book to this being one of the fist books the author published. Im hoping her writting style gets better as she continues to write like alot of authors I know its usually the nerves of putting out tbay forst book. I'm honestly shocked at all of the great reviews for this book. Don't get me wrong it was an interesting read, funny as all get out, but definitely not a 5 star read. There was too much inner dialogue with Camie. The plotting with Kate and Camie was also over the top after the first time. I didn't think they'd do it more than the first time but they kept reading and dissecting Tristan and his behavior. Who cares?! It just moved slower than I normally like and I am one who can appreciate a slow moving book/movie to get to the good stuff. This one didn't do it for me at all!!
