About book Shadow Wave (2010)

Why all the rush? And yes, I mean, I believe everyone of us can imagine an alternative ending for the series, yet, I also believe that most of us expected something huge and interesting to say goodbye to a lot of carachters (since probably I'm not going to read the other series).Robert Muchamore presents us another book with a case that was left open in the last chapter. But, after the case is closed, and the Führer got himself in jail (nice beginning), the author develops a mini-mission for James. But, we end up reading half a book about Kyle and their colleagues. Was this the best way to end a story with James? I believe we have almost as much time with Kyle, as we got with James, and for me was a delusion. Nevertheless, the ending is speeded up. We only read a couple of pages with James, Kerry and Lauren reunited, after James got himself in the University. I give a 3/5.. I was trully disappointed with this book. So much good stories and imagination that Robert showed us before, yet he could not give us a proper ending for one of the best juvenil series ever..Also, in my edition (portuguese) i didn't received any conclusion letter. It would be nice to see some words dedicated to us, fans, who followed up this for years (I counted 6 years for me) Shadow Wave by Robert Muchamore is the twelfth and final book in the Cherub series in which James, an almost seventeen year old boy who works for a special sector of the British government, must guard the governor of Malaysian and his family, while James’s friend and former government agent, Kyle, is trying expose the Malaysian governors dark side. The most major themes of this book are suspense and adventure.I really loved this book, and the series in general. All the books are very interesting and extremely well written. Another thing that helps add to the overall amazingness of the series, and the suspense, is that it switches the perspective of the protagonist randomly after chapters. There is suspense on page 22 when James is in the middle of busting a mass weapon deal, “None of the officers outside knew that James was working undercover, so he could expect rough treatment. And with guns and ammunition lying around, the situation could turn into a shoot-out if the cops slipped up.” This is an example of suspense because you are now wondering if the cops are going to slip up which would lead to someone getting injured, or maybe even dying. I also thought this book was really good because the plot was so developed that you actually think all the stuff in the book is real. There really is no quote for this but the author made up a governor of Malaysia, made up a family for him, and gave them all extremely diverse personalities and made up really elaborate things about him. This book series is my favorite and recommend it to anyone who likes anything.

Do You like book Shadow Wave (2010)?

How i got this book: I was recommended this series in 6th grade and i just finished all 12 books.Significance of the title: Shadow wave is like the book because of a huge Tsunami that hit the countryPurpose: I think the purpose of this book to teach kids how important friends are and why you should always do the right thing.Audience: This is for mature audiences because it has mature scenes3 Facts: I learned that James will go to Sanford University and he has A-level testing scores in many subjects. He also was very loyal to his best friend for the sake of a village.Theme: the theme is telling people to do the right thing. James was torn between loyalness to his agency or loyalness to his best friend. James did the right thing by staying Loyal to his friend because it helped save a small village.3 strategies: I predicted that James would stay loyal to his friend because James is a good person. I could visualize massive hotels taking over a beautiful beach on a beautiful island.I used prior knowledge to predict that James would stay loyal to his best friend because prior to that situation James has been a good person.Would i Recommend it? I would recommend it because it is a great series/book with a lot of ups and downs and just informing us that James has had a hard life but he persevered.

This was an extremely disappointing ending to the James Adams series. Muchamore could have made this final book much more interesting and entertaining but chose to wrap it up as quickly as possible. Most of the book didn't even star the main character and Muchamore spent way too long on the side story. He could have made this book so much more compelling like in Mad Dogs or The General. There wasn't even any character development with James and kept the character acting like a rowdy, horny 15 year old instead of a burgeoning adult. The ending of the book was also horrible and cliche. I expected much-a-more from series finale but it was an utter disappointment. I regret buying this book.
