About book Seth Baumgartner's Love Manifesto (2010)

Seth's life is not going as well as he would like with his girlfriend breaking up with him while at the same time seeing his dad having a date with another woman. An hour later, Seth is fired from his fourth job. Twists and turns as he plays golf, works at a golf shop, meets a girl, gets to know his best friend's sister a little better, and starts a podcast.Lots of rude and crude references in here, a few funny lines. Lots of golf - kids who golf might like it, but the rest was more of 2.5 His father's "relationships" was an odd component and never really resolved by anyone involved - the explanation never quite fit with the current situation. I wish mom had a chance to put her two cents in on how she dealt with it... This book really got in depth with love to a teenage boy's mind. Even though it seems simple and "you'll know it when it happens", it's way more complicated. Seth had troubles with his girlfriend, his parents, and getting himself back onto the playing field. I really disliked his ex-girlfriend, Veronica. She is a conniving little tool. When she wanted to get back together with Seth, I knew it wasn't a good idea. Then, later, you find out that she never really broke things off with Anders-just in case Seth turned her down (like he did). It just blew my mind how a person could be like that.My favorite character-besides Seth-would have to be Audrey. The sandwich thing was one of my favorite things about her. She was just the little rebel that Seth needed. Her personality was strong and true.
