This is one of the stories where two people have crap happen to them that breaks the normal perception of the world and the people in it. But when you're broken and meet another person who carries the pieces to fix you with them and you realize you've been carrying their pieces around too - it let's you both find the missing pieces and to start to heal and see relationships within your life without the empty holes and finally become whole. Both of these characters were very likable although there were times their responses to situations made me want to knock some sense into them. Over all, I really did enjoy it. This book kept showing up in my Amazon recommendations. Finally downloaded it, but then read other books for a couple of weeks. I was in a major book slump when I decided to go through the books I had not read yet. So, how does it make you feel to realize that you had this book for 2 weeks and ignored it when it turned out to be one of your favorite books of the year? I can answer that. It makes you feel pretty stupid. Love, love, love this book. Because of this book, I was required by Law and All Things Holy to download all of her other books. Fortunately, my husband and son are both well acquainted with my reading time and know how to order out. I'm going to be busy for the next little while - reading.
