very steamy book....the story is a good read as well. Regan is a Filipino woman who has just quit her job after being groped by her boss, down to her last few dollars with a sad past, she gets a job as a cocktail waitress in a high class gentleman's club. Carter is a billionaire CEO who after seeing Regan just once can't forget her & does everything to see her. His mannerisms are different than anyone Regan has ever met & she is shocked that he even pays attention to her because she's so out of his league. This is part 1 of their story & for the most part it's just him chasing her but the chase is hot. This gets a solid 3.5 stars from me, but loses a .5 star due to it's bad editing. It's such a shame when a good book, just has had the time to be proofed correctly. Overall however this is a good story and one that I would recommend you read, if you're into that whole Pretty Woman type story. The story is incredible simple, girl is down on her luck, she gets a job as a waitress at a high end gentleman's club and next thing you know she's meeting the man of her dreams. It's great reading these types of books, there isn't much wondering what's going to happen next. Here you're just reading a predictable love story wondering how it's going to play out... that's whole it's the journey not the destination type thing. One of the true simple joys of the book is Carter. He enjoys control and humiliation. Perfect, these are just the kind of things I like reading about. And Reagan is drawn to him like a moth to a flame. What I like about her though is that she isn't completely subservient to him, but rather that wonderful balance of submissive and sassy. She's fun, he's fun. It's a win-win. I debated while reading this as to whether or not I would pick up the next in the book and I've decided that I really shouldn't miss out on what else is in store for these two. My big wish is a little more sex, to be blunt. There wasn't nearly enough of it here for me. There is only so much "holding back" before even I was getting frustrated for Reagan. So off I pop for book two, fingers crossed that it's just as good, if not better (at least better edited) than this book.
