Charlie's life is just a series of unhappy and unfortunate events. The past story of Emma and Charlie's and seperation from the Hunt's will bring you to tears and all that is Lilly and Charlie's past and present will break your heart. I was unclear on which man would capture Charlie's empty heart but am glad that she now has her father, a new best friend and a boyfriend to fill her heart and guide her to future hopefully free from the shadows. I really loved the story, it's interesting and there are different plots. It's complex, but you can follow every direction without a problem. I love the characters.Charlie is unique and her past and present are so detailed, the opposite of Cameron, because we know nothing about him, or very little anyway.I can't excatly pinpoint what it is, but I struggled with most of it. I was getting lost in all the descriptions.I loved the part about Charlie and Cameron, and I loved the time Cee spent in the mansion, but the other parts were too slow for me.I will probably read the next book, because I'm curious as to what happens with the mansion.
