The story is great, despite it being short in nature. Cassie, sister to a loser gambling addicted brother goes to Hagen, a loan shark with a terrifying reputation, to pay off his supposed $5000 loan, only to find out its really thirty thousand dollars!! unable to pay that amount of her college students income, Cassie is stunned! Till Hagen makes her a offer she can’t and neither wants to refuse. Cassie is wildly attracted to Hagen and Hagen treats her like a princess. Is it really all about the money for Hagen.Again this book is short and even though you find out Hagen and Cassie’s back story, I found myself wishing there was just a little more to the story. This book is a great introduction to Roxy Rivera’s new Russian Protectors series. HE'S TALL, DARK, SEXY AND HE'S A LOAN SHARKCassie has managed to scrape together four thousand dollars, to help pay off her brother Ronnie's debt to Hagen one of Houston's most dangerous loan sharks. Cassie has repeatedly tried to talk to Ronnie about his gambling addiction, but it falls on deaf ears. Entering the bar which Hagen operates out of, she is shown into the back office by one of his men, a large evil looking guy. But if she thought his hired help was huge, he was nothing once she stood in front of Hagen 6' 5" at least, and all of him pure muscle, very dark and dangerous looking, even in the expensive suit he was wearing. Cassie puts down the four grand to pay off as much of the five grand her brother owes. But Ronnie has lied to her, he owes Hagen thirty thousand. Cassie could never get together that much money, and fears for her brothers safety. Hagen has a proposition for Cassie. Her body to pay off the debt, she informs Hagen shes a college co-ed not a whore. Hagen knows all about Cassie, in fact he already was attracted to her. Faced with the possibility of her brother being hurt she agrees.Intrigued by the title of this erotic short story, I just couldn't resist and had to download this, I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. It is well written with really hot love scenes. Cassie is a loyal and honest girl, she despises Hagen's business, and the criminal aspects of it. But Hagen isn't as dark as he is painted, as Cassie discovers.A short story that for me had the potential to be made into a full length story. The characters are very well developed given the limited amount of pages. I will certainly be checking out more from this author.
