HANDS DOWN...this was an awesome read. This was a perfect sequel. It gave us a backstory of the band mates before they were discovered and gives the reader a great understanding of each character. Unlike other prequel, this is a full-length read so nothing of the story was skimped. I absolutely loved the story. The characters had real character. Filled with angst and sexual tension as well as typical band drama this was a very entertaining read. I can't wait to start the next installment...which will be about NOW!!! Now THIS is what I love in a RnR Band book! Backstories. Band relationships. Struggles. The nitty gritty of overcoming obstacles and trying to get noticed, etc... oh, and sex. When I saw this was a .5, I assumed it was a novella. Uh...not! This was more of a substantial book than almost anything I've read in a year. Amazing group dynamics, some great POV swaps and soooo much potential. If this is what happens when two amazing authors decide to write together, I think we should make this a mandatory process to call yourself an author! HA!If you like band books, the music industry, great stories or books in general, do yourself a favor and READ THIS! The series is going to (pun alert) ROCK and there are no cliffys!
