I liked the most of the character developement. I was honestly suprised by the bad guy and the story line was intriguing. I would have like to see more development between Rafe and Brooke besides flashbacks and arguments. the romance was ideally sweet but almost borderes on pity even though I don't thunk it was meant to come acrosa that way. I thoroughly enjoyed the brotherly affection and the love they showed to Nonna. and even though Darren was a sub character, he was funny and used well foeb guy is role. Overall a fun book...already have the next book in the series. One of three Di Luca brothers, Rafe, is in security and comes in to help after his grandmother is attacked at their vineyard resort. Brooke, the love of his life, is working at the resort and they reunite. For most of the book, I didn’t especially like Rafe. And the family in many ways felt similar to the Wilder family, so I felt like I’d already seen them. But other than the close-knit family at a vineyard, the similarity mostly ends. Not the best of Dodd’s novels, but good enough.
