The most interesting things about this book were the behind-the-scenes insights into the world of reality shows and daytime television. The thing about that, is that they are not so much fiction as a lightly fictionalized account of Alison Sweeney's experience. I mean, yes, she is an actress and not a script supervisor - but other than that, I can't say there is much of a distinction. I mean, the book manages to drop in the fact that the woman who plays Kate Roberts on Days is a big Bowie fan. But the good thing about that is that if you like Alison Sweeney, the celebrity, you will absolutely like her as an author as well.The book is light and fluffy, and would be a good beach read. There's no harm in it, there's just not much substance either. Borrowed from Publisher/NetGalley for an honest review.I did not finish reading this. It started out really good but then became very slow and boring. I found the characters and the story just were not quite interesting enough to read any further.But something I thought the author did really well was provide all the behind the scenes information. Since she's an actress as well as a TV host it stands that she would be very knowledgeable about all the things that go on with creating a TV show.
