Okay let me start by saying that I enjoyed this story by the end. That is not to say it was bad or anything I just didn't relate well to the characters. I enjoyed the writing style. Tatiana de Rosnay is quite talented. The story itself takes place over about four days, but I enjoyed the multiple flashbacks of the main characters life. I think some people might like it. It is not a bad novel by any means. By the end I really enjoyed it, but I think that is because of how the characters were finally being normal and not snobs. This story is boring -- it is a re hasse of several plots for other stories and uses recent news stories as a base for the ending. There where two quotes that made me take note:…creativity…can not be willed…imagination produces creativity; creativity comes when it comes and is beyond one’s personal control.and "when there is no corpus,...no coffin, no undertaker, no grave, no mass(service), no obituary; It is hard to accept that someone is dead."This is the second book from her I've read will not read again.
Do You like book Russian Ink (2000)?
Started slow and I had a hard time concentrating on it but it took off and was compelling.
