This book is one of my most beloved ones, to which I always like to come back to. Even though the epilogue was too cheesy for me, I love Rachael and Ryan. I love that Rachael does not struggle with the usual problems of bitchy friends and jealousy and all those "loose girls" everywhere and that she makes not as much as a big deal out of his "man-whorisch" ways (why that is even a word is behind me) as it is usual for YA/NA/MYA. Instead she struggles with holding on to being independet and achieving everything by herself while dating someone rich and famous and I love that. And that I learned something while reading (e.g. the paragraph about engagement rings and Alexander the Great). They both were not perfect, kind of bitchy and faulty, but funny and hilarious at the same time. And they did not suddenly forgot all their friends and lived in their little bubble, but actually had a full life. The book was amazingly written and I maybe should be more critical, but I can't because I'm blinded by all the points I found so great. I was on the edge of my seat the whole book, wondering if Ryan & Rachel would ever be able to make it work! This is definitely a case of opposites attracting. Rachel's a bit of a b!tch, Ryan's a "ladies man", and without the addition of Ryan's friends/fellow Leopards teammates, I'm not sure they would've made it past their initial (horrible) first impressions.I like Ryan. Maybe I even love the guy, but Rachel drives him nuts. Hell's Bells, she drove me nuts too, so I understood. Rachel assumes Ryan represents every jock stereotype known to mankind. He's far from it! No matter how much they seem to hate each other, they're equally drawn to the incredible attraction they have. The secondary characters helped bring this book to another level. I love Abe! There's plenty of LOL moments from all the gang. Allison is an intelligent writer who delivers interesting (at least i thought so) tidbits of information without sounding like she's standing at a podium giving a class lecture. I'll definitely be reading the next book in this series!
