Maria and Garrett meet after he buys the hotel she works at. Maria and Courtney do not get along and Garrett has heard from Courtney that Maria tried to sabotage the refurbishment process at the hotel. Garrett can't get Maria out of his head and becomes obsessed with meeting her. Upon meeting her, Garrett is even more intrigued and begins to pursue her. Maria feels that the hotel is her home and does not want to change her life. Garrett pushes and pushes until Maria has no choice but to recognize that he wants her and isn't going to give up. Both of them have to learn the art of compromise and not playing games, but it was fun to read how they both tried to stubbornly get their way. Overall a good read and another great addition to the series. Hmm . . Over the top bossy Garrett. . He didn't overthrow brother Damian but surpassed Nick in the alpha Rule category. . . in my opinion of course. Some readers are going to think he skirted consent a couple of times because G came across incredibly intense and Marie, the heroine blew hot and cold. I had a tough time pinning her emotions down even at the end. She seemed aggressively not interested in G one moment and then passively accepting and accessible in the next. It became a case of the lady "doth protest too much" and that never sits well these days. But then, I have a feeling anyone loving all that is alpha yummy in a Chance hero doesn't mind them being utterly not PC.
Do You like book Rule's Addiction (2014)?
I'm glad it wasn't just me that thought this one was lacking something..
