Contemporary romance with protected sex. This is a favorite reread from way back in 2004. Sexy Dr. Houston & klutzy resident Josie get to know each other. One thing that bothered me about this story & why I couldn't give it 5 stars was Josie's poor self image. Almost every chapter had her bashing her body. I guess if my dad's nickname for me was "butterball" I might have some issues too, but it wears on you after a while talking about her chubby thighs & describing herself as plump & perky. Enough already! ok, i just read three of mccarthy's books in the last two days and i'm just going to cut and paste my review for all three - because its all the same stuff!don't get me wrong - they're exactly right for what i was looking for today: fun, fast reads with good-ish characters and fabulous sex. "smart mouth", "houston we have a problem" and "mouth to mouth" are all great books - with "mouth to mouth" being a "better" book in terms of character development, story line, etc. but still, all three are definitely shy of hitting the literature mark. but surpass the usual chick lit in that the sex is nice and raunchy.so, if you're looking for fun, fast summer reads with snappy dialogue and some graphic sex - look no further!(i've now officially read all her books. and want more!)
