This book was so good I barely slept. I was haunted by Scott and Emma's relationship wondering when they would finally communicate and get on the same page. This book was so full of angst that I almost exploded. The chemistry and teasing between the main characters was exasperating and again just left me tossing and turning yearning for the end. Now I am addicted and have to read more. Come on book 2! Ugh.This was cliché-riddled. Very very cliché riddled. She was the MC who was a virgin and had a crush on the player up and coming rock star. There was so much that I hated-- like he could sleep around with whomever he wanted to, but hated it when she even flirted with another guy. This was addressed, just a smidgeon, but the MC still wanted to be with him and felt a draw to him when he ribbed other women in her face. Also, the MC and love interest was more of a love-hate wishy-washy relationship. Anytime I come to one of these relationships, I automatically draw arcs between the book and Withering Heights, which I absolutely abhorred. First of all, if you love each other so much, WHY THE HELL are you rubbing other people in your love's face instead of addressing the matter? Oh, right, you want to hurt the person sooo badly, so that he/she knows how you feel. How the hell is that love? It's definitely not love in my book. And, oh, you loved that person ever sinfe you first saw them, yet you constantly have sex with more and more people. WHO THE HELL DOES THAT? Oh that's right, sadists like Emma and Scott, better known as Catherine and Heathcliff. This just ended p making me skim the book.Sigh. Why do bad anti-romance fiction tropes happen to me?
